Smarter rubric handling, a completely rebuilt results experience, customisable print reports, and a handful of long-requested quality-of-life improvements. Here's everything that's new.
🧠 Rubric support
You told us rubrics and answer keys weren't always being read correctly. SmartGradr now automatically understands any grading reference you provide — no manual classification needed.
📊 Results view
The results page has been rebuilt from the ground up with three focused tabs: Students, Rubric, and Questions Overview.
🖨️ Print Report
The old "Export PDF" button has been replaced with a rebuilt Print Report feature that gives you complete control over what goes in your report.
Incorrectly read names have been one of the most-reported pain points. Now you can fix them in two ways: Single mode lets you retype a name inline; Bulk mode lets you paste a full newline-separated list — SmartGradr maps each existing name to its replacement and flags mismatches before anything is applied.
A step-by-step progress indicator is now shown throughout every grading session — from reading uploaded files, to running the AI, to calculating final scores. No more guessing what SmartGradr is doing or how long is left.
After a grading session you may be prompted to rate your experience on a 1–5 star scale with contextual suggestions and optional free-text details. Your responses directly shape what gets improved next.
The home page has a new look: an updated layout, a recent activity section that surfaces your latest grading sessions at a glance, and improved navigation to get you where you need to go faster.
